Merging of IT Process Quality Frameworks With Other Business Process Measurement Frameworks

In regard to business process measurement, it is well known that strong framework tools are essential for ensuring IT resources are aligned with an enterprise's business processes, and for ensuring that services and information meet quality, fiduciary and security needs. So, why not combine IT process quality measurement frameworks with other business process measurement frameworks? In order to develop an understanding of linking the IT-focused quality frameworks with the well-known business process measurement frameworks, the article examines the criteria for evaluating effectiveness of such coexistence. This is achieved by means of comparing IT process measurement frameworks with business process measurement frameworks with respect to fundamentals of process evaluation focused on quality. The paper supports in general the claim that the use of a systematic IT based process measurement approach together with other frameworks can improve organizational performance.
