This paper presents a numerical strategy that can be used for modeling a gas-solid two-phase flow in a three-dimensional Enhanced Solid Entrainment (ESE) induction nozzle to investigate the effects of geometric parameters and flow conditions on the solid entrainment rate. This paper presents all of the details related to the selection of the turbulence model, the computational domain, the grid density and the boundary conditions. Numerical results were obtained using the commercial CFD software FLUENT. A multi-phase Eulerian-Eulerian model incorporating the kinetic theory for solid particles is used. The numerical results are compared to similar results obtained experimentally
