Whether video and its different attention levels would affect the auditory masking effect was discussed in this paper. Using method of tracking, psychoacoustic experiments about narrow-band noise masking pure tone were carried out. The experiments can be divided into three parts. First, masking thresholds were measured in auditory-only mode. Then, video clips and audio clips were synchronously presented to subjects. Masking thresholds were measured in auditory-visual mode. At last, two video clips of different attention levels were presented. Masking thresholds were re-measured in auditory-visual mode. In auditory-visual mode, the subjects were asked to answer questions about video content and assign attention degree for two videos after experiments. This paper finally gave detailed analysis about difference of masking thresholds between auditory-only mode and auditoryvisual mode. The effect of two different attention-degree videos was also discussed.
