Fringe-field switching transflective liquid crystal display using low twist nematic mode in reflective region

摘要

Two types of transflective liquid crystal display (LCD) using the low twisted nematic liquid crystal in the reflective region without compensation film or in-cell retarder are proposed. In both types, the dark state of the reflective region is optimized when twist angle of liquid crystal is 64°. These devices have single gamma curve because voltage dependent transmittance curve nearly coincide with voltage dependent reflectance.
