VALIDATION BY SIMULATION OF ENTERPRISE MODELS

In this paper a methodology for the validation of enterprise models is described. Function models created by means of the standardised IDEF0 method are the subject of interest. In order to express the dynamics of the models and to construct equivalent simulation models standardised Estelle language is also used. Simulation procedures may be applied for the validation of IDEF0 models, which means for checking functional and formal correctness. An application of the methodology to solve a real-life model of a centre of excellence is also presented.
