Evaluation of Regional Logistics Capability——An Empirical Analysis on Chinese Provinces

Logistics capabihtv has been seen as a core competence. The paper evaluates the regional logisticscapability using DEA and real data set of 31 Chinese provincial regions. The author finds that their differencein the regional logistics capabihtv of the provincial regions from one another in China has been primarily resulted from those of technical efficiencies under variable returns to scale, and their logistics scale efficiency isrelatively near. Thus, the provincial regions in China should improve themselves in logistics technology, butnot enlarge logistics inputs scale.
