Direct electrochemical reduction of Dy2O3-Fe for preparing DyFe2 alloy in molten calcium choride

摘要

The DyFe2 alloy is prepared by the direct electrochemical reduction of Dy2O3-Fe in molten CaCl2 at 800℃ in Ar atmosphere.The voltage of 3.1 V is applied.The composite of obtained products are determined by XRD.The main composite is DyFe2 alloy approximately 95％,others are DyFe3 alloy and Dy2O3.The exhausts are mainly CO2 and CO.The temperature to alloys is lower than that of DyFe2 alloy melt.
