This short presentation gives an overview of the formal training in interpersonal skills offered by gaming companies in Macao from the viewpoints of dealers and floor supervisors.Subheadings covered include the nature of formal training,and benefits and shortcomings of formal training.This short presentation describes the formal training in interpersonal skills offered to casino staff by gaming companies in Macao.It describes the nature of such formal training,coupled with the benefits and shortcomings associated with such formal training.Evidently,such formal training is beneficial for staff-client interactions.However,it appears that there is room for further improvement to upgrade the skills and knowledge of casino staff in their interactions with casino patrons.
