摘要

A new approach is laid out in the present work coupled with the homotopy analysis method. With the improvement introduced, the existence of exponentially-decaying type solutions is guaranteed for some physical problems exhibiting strong nonlinearity in fluid mechanics. The proposed technique is then applied to solve the flat plate boundary layer flow and the Von Karman's swirling viscous flow. The corresponding purely analytic solutions are presented in coincident particularly with the Ackroyd's solution [1] for the rotating disk boundary layer flow. The heat transfer results from the disk to the fluid are also presented.
