Provided are a recombinant strain for producing L-glutamic acid by modifying a gene BBD29_09525, and a construction method therefor and an application thereof. The recombinant strain is a bacterium that generates L-glutamic acid and has an improved expression of a polynucleotide encoding an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 3 or a homologous sequence thereof. The improved expression may be the polynucleotide encoding the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 3 or the homologous sequence thereof having a point mutation and the expression is enhanced. The genetic engineering bacterium is a BBD29_09525 gene sequence, and the 337-th base is mutated from cytosine to thymine, such that the encoded corresponding amino acid sequence has the 113-th proline replaced by serine, and the engineering bacterium of the BBD29_09525 gene or BBD29_09525 C337T gene is overexpressed. The L-glutamic acid yield and conversion rate of the genetic engineering bacterium are improved.
