A method for acquiring a TV service usage pattern is disclosed. A method for obtaining a TV service usage pattern according to the present invention comprises the steps of: generating a plurality of clusters each representing a unique property of content provided by a TV service, the degree to which each of the plurality of clusters is dominantly viewed with respect to other clusters; based on the step of selecting one or more clusters from among the plurality of clusters as the final cluster; merging the one unselected cluster with the other unselected cluster based on the degree of viewing, and based on the degree to which the merged cluster is predominantly viewed over other clusters, the merged cluster and selecting as the final cluster.
