IMAGE RESHAPING IN VIDEO CODING USING RATE DISTORTION OPTIMIZATION

摘要

Given an image sequence of a first codeword representation, a method, process and system for image reshaping using rate distortion optimization is presented, whereby the reshaping allows an image to be coded into a second codeword representation, This allows for more efficient compression than using the first codeword representation. A syntax method for signaling reshaping parameters is also presented.
