A centralized Internet of Things (IoT) based logistics and supply chain management system (100), the system comprising: a user interface module (102) for providing a plurality of details and thresholds of ideal environmental conditions to the carrier entering the logistics and supply chain; a temperature sensor (104) for measuring the temperature of the input carrier throughout the logistic and supply chain; a light dependent resistor (LDR) (106) to detect the presence of light and to measure the intensity of the detected light incident on the liquid carrier throughout the supply chain, the output of the LDR (106) being high and in the presence of light is low in the absence of light; a control module (108) connected to the user interface module (102) via a communication module (110), the temperature sensor (104) and the LDR (106) to determine real-time environmental conditions from the measured temperature and light intensity of the wearer over the entire supply chain tracking to generate a plurality of control signals when the measured temperature and light intensity is above the entered threshold; and a cloud server (112) connected to the control module (108) to store the plurality of details, the threshold values, the measured temperature and the light intensity, wherein the stored values can be accessed at any time throughout the logistics and supply chain.
