The present invention provides a numerical simulation method for pulse laser paint removal and an application thereof. In the method, a three-dimensional temperature field model is established on the basis of ANSYS software, and numerical simulation of nanosecond pulse laser paint removal is performed. Pulse laser moving at a high speed is loaded onto the surface of the model in a heat flux form, load loading of different paths is implemented by moving a coordinate system, load loading on any curved surface is implemented by using a special curved surface grid screening means, laser energy distribution on the surface of a material is ensured to conform to reality, units exceeding a threshold are removed in combination with a birth-death unit technology, and surface appearance after laser paint removal is intuitively presented. The provided method can solve the problem of non-planar load application under the situations of material removal and the like, and accurately and comprehensively implement contour prediction for pulse laser ablating a paint layer, thereby providing theoretical and technical support for processing parameter selection and processing trajectory planning of efficient laser paint removal.
