The claimed invention relates to chemical technology, more particularly to a method for producing amorphous aluminium hydroxide with a pseudoboehmite structure, and can also be used for producing granulated activated aluminа, catalysts and catalyst supports as well as in other industries. The method for producing aluminium hydroxide powder with a pseudoboehmite structure comprises subjecting aluminium chloride hexahydrate to thermal calcining at a temperature of 400-800°С, hydrating the intermediate alumooxide product in an aqueous medium under autoclaved conditions and drying.
