To provide a rice cooker that produces a delicious image such as a flame of a furnace with lighting to create a novel appealing method for having a user recall that fluffy delicious rice is cooked.SOLUTION: A rice cooker 1 includes: a body 2 formed with a hollow part inside thereof; an inner pot detachably stored in the hollow part of the body and storing an object to be heated inside thereof; heating means for heating the inner pot; and lighting means 6 for lighting up a lower side of the body. The lighting means 6 lights up a lower region of the body 2 along an outer periphery of the body 2 on the basis of a front face of the body 2 with light that is close to a flame of a furnace.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
