Provided is an algae-culturing environment regulation method for establishing both a microplastic-removing environment and an algae-culturing environment, and for efficiently removing microplastics. The present invention is provided with: a step for determining an algae-culturing state, in which an algae-culturing state is determined on the basis of information indicating the properties of culturing water that provides a culturing environment for algae having microplastic adsorption/recovery capacity, and in which the aforementioned culturing water is used as water to be treated that is the target of a microplastic adsorption/recovery treatment; and a step for determining a culturing water environment, in which the culturing environment of said culturing water is determined on the basis of the aforementioned algae-culturing state.
