[Problem] The present invention provides: a chicken farming feed composition for migrating a middle-chain fatty acid component which never migrates from a conventional formula feed into a chicken egg, e.g., lauric acid, into a chicken egg; and a method for producing a functional chicken egg containing a lauric-acid-based oil or fat. [Solution] The method for producing a functional chicken egg containing a lauric-acid-based oil or fat according to the present invention comprises: a melting step for warming a lauric-acid-based oil or fat to a temperature equal to or lower than a temperature around the melting temperature of the lauric-acid-based oil or fat to melt the lauric-acid-based oil or fat; a mixing/agitation step for mixing and agitating the lauric-acid-based oil or fat that is in a liquid state with a common formula feed to produce a chicken farming feed composition; a feeding step for feeding the chicken farming feed composition thus produced to an egg-laying chicken; and a migration step for allowing a component in the lauric-acid-based oil or fat to migrate into the chicken egg.
