FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental medicine, namely to toxicology and ecology, and can be used to simulate toxic cardiopathy. A method for simulating toxic cardiopathy in rats in an experiment consists in the fact that a solution of potassium bichromate in dose of 0.5 mg/kg of body weight in terms of metal is introduced into animals daily for 60 days through a probe into the stomach. At that, per unit of solution equal to 0.3 ml there is 0.05 mg of chromium.;EFFECT: invention provides developing toxic chronic cardiopathy in an animal due to the optimal dose and duration of the metal exposure, which can be used when searching for agents for preventing and treating cardiac pathology.;1 cl, 1 tbl, 1 ex
