System for the formulation of soli-lipid nanoparticles loaded with luliconazole for the effective treatment of athletic feet, comprising:a chamber equipped with a heating device to melt lipids at a temperature of 5°C above their melting temperature;an electromagnetic stirrer connected to the chamber to add 1% luliconazole (LCZ) to the molten lipid solution stirring, producing an aqueous phase by adding a surfactant in purified water stirring;a homogenizer for homogenizing the molten lipid phase added to the heated aqueous phase at a speed of 20000/min for a period of 10–15 minutes; andan ultrasonic sonicator to sonicate the obtained pre-emulsion for 40-50 minutes, and LCZ-laden SLNs (LUZ-SLNs) are prepared after a hot nanoemulsion has been brought to room temperature, forming lipid nanoparticles, having an amount of LCZ-SLNs equal to 1% (f/f) LCZ, added to a carbomer 940 solution and mixed for 20 minutes at 5000/min stirring, adjusting the pH of the LCZ SLN topical gel from 5.5 to 6.5 using triethanolamine, keeping the developed topical gel formulation at room temperature for 24-hours to remove the trapped air.
