Simple signaling method for affine linearly weighted intra-prediction mode

Aspects of disclosure provide methods and equipment for video coding / decoding. In some examples, the device for video decoding includes a processing circuit that decodes the prediction information of the current block in the current picture that is part of the coded video sequence. Prediction information indicates whether the current block is currently encoded with affine linear weighted intra-prediction (ALWIP). In response to the prediction information indicating that the current block is coded with ALWIP, the processing circuit determines the ALWIP mode index representing the prediction mode of the neighboring block adjacent to the current block, and the ALWIP mode index is multiple.
