A method for reducing the content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon substances in nano-scale particulate matter of a diesel engine. The method involves: step I, determining the in-cylinder combustion state of a diesel engine according to an in-cylinder real-time pressure curve and an in-cylinder real-time temperature curve, and spraying an alcohol oxygenated fuel, spraying oxygenated fuel dimethyl ether or dimethyl carbonate, or introducing oxygen ions thereto in different phases; step II, subjecting exhaust gas to plasma treatment, OH free radical heating treatment and activated carbon adsorption; and step III, determining the concentration of nano-scale particles with a particle size of less than 100 nm in the exhaust gas process, carrying out electrostatic adsorption treatment and high-temperature oxidation, returning same to step II, and controlling polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in the nano-scale particulate matter by means of trapping and filtration using a particle filter.
