A named entity recognition method and apparatus, and an electronic device and a readable storage medium, which relate to the technical field of data processing. The method comprises: performing named entity category extraction on a plurality of data sets to obtain sub-data sets corresponding to named entity categories; constructing a named entity recognition model, wherein the named entity recognition model comprises a plurality of output branches, and each output branch corresponds to a named entity category, and inputting the sub-data sets into the named entity recognition model for training, so as to obtain a trained named entity recognition model (S2); acquiring text to be subjected to named entity recognition and a target named entity category that are carried in a request; and inputting said text into the trained named entity recognition model, and taking a recognition result, which is output by an output branch corresponding to the target named entity category, as a target recognition result (S4). By using the method, the acquisition efficiency of named entity data sets can be improved, and the named entity recognition accuracy can be improved.
