An adjustable feeder pan system and related method for feeding poultry is provided. The feeder pan system includes a cone portion, an extruder portion comprising a plurality of anti-scratch, radially disposed pins, a skirt, a feed pan, a cap, and optionally a feed blocking component. The cone is capable of selectively engaging one of a plurality of pairs of corresponding slots of varying depths in the extruder portion to provide a number of feeding levels as desired depending on the size and age of the poultry being fed. It includes a pair of stops.
