An HMD-device-oriented facial expression recognition system, comprising an image input unit (1), wherein an output end of the image input unit (1) is connected to an image expression acquisition unit (2); the image expression acquisition unit (2) comprises a facial detection module (21) and a facial positioning module (22); an output end of the image expression acquisition unit (2) is connected to an image preprocessing unit (3); the image preprocessing unit (3) comprises an expression recognition module (31) and a facial capturing module (32); an output end of the image preprocessing unit (3) is connected to an expression feature extraction unit (4); an output end of the expression feature extraction unit (4) is connected to an expression classification unit (5); and an output end of the expression classification unit (5) is connected to an expression tagging unit (6). The system can realize quick and highly accurate recognition of a face and can reduce costs during a facial recognition process, thereby improving the accuracy of facial recognition under different facial poses.
