The present disclosure generally relates to a chassis for a pushchair, wherein the chassis comprises:a rear axle (2; 13; 23; 34) and a front axle (4; 11; 21; 31) arranged in the direction of thrust one after the other, wherein:an axle distance can be changed by an elastic tensioning mechanism (3; 24), wherein the axle distance can be reduced by a build-up of tensile stress in the elastic tensioning mechanism (3; 24) by adjusting the front axle (4; 11; 21; 31) and/or the rear axle (2; 13; 23; 34).
