Aspects relate to configuring a delay between a downlink control channel and a downlink/uplink. For example, the base station determines first search spaces indicating potential locations for a first downlink control channel and/or second search spaces indicating potential locations for a second downlink control channel. The base station configures and transmits first delays and/or second delays. Each first delay indicates a respective time delay between a resource location of the first downlink control channel and a resource location of a downlink data associated with the first downlink control channel and is configured for a respective one of the first search spaces. Each second delay indicates a respective time delay between a resource location of the second downlink control channel and a resource location of an uplink data associated with the second downlink control channel and is configured for a respective one of the second search spaces.
