In a first aspect, the invention relates to a method for monitoring the progress of a cardiomyocyte transplantation using the determination of the expression level of at least one specific biomarker in a sample from a subject after a cardiomyocyte transplantation in a step (i); and comparing the expression level determined in (i) with a reference value in a step (ii). subjects has prospects of success, comprising: determining the expression level of at least one specific biomarker in a sample of a subject with myocardial infarction in a step (a); and comparing the expression level determined in (i) with a reference value in a step (b).
