The present application relates to an electrochromic device in which leakage current is reduced by an inorganic material for surface modification coated on the electrochromic layer, and more specifically, an inorganic coupling agent at the interface between the electrolyte and the color-changing layer of the electrochromic device. It relates to improving the stability and durability of the electrochromic element by reducing the leakage of the current flowing in the electrochromic element through the electrolyte by coating it.
