The invention concerns a refrigerating appliance (1) for cooling a refrigerant for an engine of a vehicle, with a refrigerating enclosure (19) and a cooling enclosure (19) present in the refrigerator enclosure (5),the air inlet to the cooling air from an outside environment (3) of the cooling system (1) and an air outlet limited by the cooling system (19) to the cooling air outlet (7) to the cooling air outlet (5),at least one heat transmitter (2) designed and trained for the separate flow through the cooling air and refrigerant and with an air support device (11) for the conveyance of the cooling air through the airspace (5). It is provided that the air transport device (11) shall have an additional air inlet, located outside the airspace (5) and separated from the air inlet (6) and shall have at least an area-by-area approach on its side at the next air inlet (12) facing the airspace (5).the air inlet opening (17) is connected to the airspace (5) electrically. The invention also concerns a process for operating a refrigerating appliance (1) for cooling a refrigerating appliance for an engine of a motor vehicle and an engine for a motor vehicle.
