Embodiments of the present application provide an electronic device and an image fusion method based on the electronic device. The electronic device comprises multiple cameras, a multimedia processing chip, and an application processing chips; the multimedia processing chip receives image data acquired by each camera, and processes the image data by using an image super-resolution algorithm; and the application processing chip receives image data after being processed by the multimedia processing chip, and performs fusion processing on the image data after being processed by the multimedia processing chip.
