The method for configuration and management of a MAP-E tunnel comprises: sending, to a rule parameter server, a first HTTP request message carrying MAP-E tunnel configuration parameter request information (S100); receiving a first response message sent by the rule parameter server according to the MAP-E tunnel configuration parameter request information in the first HTTP request message, the first response message comprising a MAP-E tunnel configuration parameter (S200); and configuring a MAP-E tunnel on the basis of the MAP-E tunnel configuration parameter in the first response message (S300).
