Mains circuit for providing an intermediate circuit DC voltage and a load-dependent intermediate circuit current at an output from a three-phase mains supply, the mains circuit ensuring, independent of the load, that the phase currents are largely sinusoidal. The network circuit comprises an input which is connected to the three-phase supply network via phase lines; an output which is connected to an intermediate circuit; a rectifier arranged between the input and the output; a control unit which detects line quantities of the phase lines at the input; and a midpoint network connected to the output and the phase lines of the input via a first switching transistor and a second switching transistor, the control terminals of the first switching transistor and the second switching transistor being connected to the control unit.
