PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform a work of crimping a crimp terminal to an electric wire of a cable without causing extra work. SOLUTION: In a crimping plier with a work assisting tool, a recess 11 on which a joint portion of a crimping terminal is placed is arranged on one side surface side of a first movable plate 12 provided at an end portion of the crimping pliers, and the crimping terminal is provided. A holding component 4 having a holding surface 42 that cooperates with the recess 11 to hold it in a horizontal state, and is inserted into the joint portion of a crimp terminal arranged on the other side surface side of the first movable plate 12 and placed on the recess 11.
