Systems and methods for testing heat-not-burn tobacco products

Provided herein are systems and methods for testing heat-not-burn tobacco products. The heater carrier is movable relative to the tobacco product placement area and can be configured to heat the first end of the tobacco product placed in the tobacco product placement area. The puff simulator is configured to fluidly bond to the second end of the tobacco product. The puff simulator is configured to draw air through the tobacco product, thereby simulating the puff of the tobacco product. Thermocouple placement rigs are configured to selectively place one or more thermocouples within or along the tobacco product. The drill is configured to selectively drill one or more holes at positions within the tobacco product. The thermocouple is positioned on or within the tobacco product and produces data corresponding to the detection temperature of the tobacco product when the puff simulator simulates one or more puffs.
