摘要
FIELD: medical technology. ;SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical technology. Ablation by irreversible electroporation involves the insertion of a matrix containing a plurality of electrodes mounted on the distal end of the catheter into a cavity in the patient’s organ. The matrix is in contact with the inner surface of the cavity. Input data is received from the user, and the input data determines one or more segments of the tissue of the inner surface to be ablated. In response to the input, one or more pairs of electrodes in the matrix are selected using the processor, which, when activated by irreversible electroporation (IRE) signals, will cause ablation of these tissue segments. These tissue segments are subjected to ablation by applying IRE signals to pairs of electrodes. ;EFFECT: new solutions for performing ablation. ;12 cl, 4 dwg
