A large-format 3D printing method and device based on DLP, which relate to the technical field of data processing, the method comprising: acquiring first slice bitmap information; determining whether the first slice bitmap information meets a preset projection size; when the first slice bitmap information exceeds the preset projection size, segmenting a first slice bitmap to acquire a series of unit bitmaps; acquiring first connection information of a first 3D printer; determining first preprocessing information according to the first connection information; controlling a DLP light engine and a liquid tank to horizontally move to the first unit bitmap for projection exposure, so as to acquire first curing bitmap information and second curing bitmap information; acquiring a first curing layer according to the first curing bitmap information and the second curing bitmap information; and demolding the first curing layer, vertically moving same upwards by a first thickness and overlapping same to acquire a first model entity. The present invention achieves the technical effect of completing the large-format model printing by horizontally moving one piece of projection equipment by means of moving, splicing and forming without adding projection equipment.
