A perforation gun connection is revealed, whereby a signal from the surface can be transmitted via a wire line or other transport down and through the connection from the pen of a perforation gun to an electrical contact structure at the next perforation gun in the string. In one example, the connection includes a connector body with an electric pen positioned to contact an electrical contact structure at the next perforation gun. The electrical contact structure has a contact bottle designed for insertion by the pen,when connected to the connecting body. The electrical contact structure may be uniformly designed to include a number of features to facilitate the connection between perforation guns.
