BIG-DATA-BASED SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SAVING WHALES

A big-data-based system and method for saving whales. The system comprises a plurality of video image monitoring points provided on a coastline, wherein the video image monitoring points are a plurality of wireless cameras (1). The plurality of wireless cameras (1) are connected to a wireless hard disk video recorder (2) by means of a wireless network; the wireless hard disk video recorder (2) is connected to a GPRS router (3); the GPRS router (3) is further connected to a GPS locator (4); the GPRS router (3) is wirelessly connected to a wireless Ethernet switch (5) by means of the Internet; and the wireless Ethernet switch (5) is connected to a video server (6) and an application server (7). By means of the system, whether a whale appears on a coastline can be manually or automatically detected by means of a wireless video monitoring network composed of wireless cameras; early warning information can be given in advance; rescue measures to be taken when a whale is stranded are given, and the rescue measures have a good operability; and a good solution for solving the problem of whale stranding is provided.
