The present invention relates to an in-line type kitchen hood and a control method therefor. In order to effectively discharge odors and heat, an in-line fan (also known as a four-flow type in-line fan), an inlet silencer, and an outlet silencer with built-in damper (aka reducer) are integrated into the hood. By installing it on the collecting cap and lowering the height of the hood, it is discharged through a gently installed curved pipe to reduce static pressure loss. It works effectively before mixing with the indoor air, and the hood must be operated all the time even before pollutants are generated.
