Treatment of lupus erythematosus with S-hydroxychloroquine

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively treating skin lupus erythematosus and systemic lupus erythematosus without side effects. A method of treating lupus erythematosus, wherein a subject in need of treatment for lupus erythematosus is identified, and the subject contains S-hydroxychloroquine and a pharmaceutically acceptable additive. A method comprising administering a composition, wherein the pharmaceutical composition is essentially free of R-hydroxychloroquine. [Selection diagram] None
