A method (100-150) analyzes an element associated with an object and representative of the latter. This method comprises the following steps: - reception (130) of first data defining a digital image of at least part of this element resulting from a photographic capture, - supply (140) of the first data to an analyzer comprising at least one learning artificial intelligence module, previously configured with second learning data of at least one reference element, in order to make a decision (150) relating to the first data received from a selection of at least one portion of these first data defining a chosen zone of interest and characterized by at least one chosen image characteristic, this decision being relative to a potential modification of the element analyzed with respect to a corresponding reference element.
