The present disclosure relates to a method for analyzing a news article, and an electronic device for performing the same method. According to an embodiment, a method for analyzing a news article may comprise the steps of: identifying a sentence including a pre-stored financial word or person word in the news article; inputting a partial sentence of the identified sentence to a neural network model trained to output a score of the news article, and obtaining a first news score from the neural network model; inputting a partial sentence of the identified sentence to a pre-trained model, and obtaining a second news score from the pre-trained model; and on the basis of the first news score and the second news score, determining a global assessment score regarding a financial tendency of the news article.
