The invention provides an additional module (10) for a hook clamp with the following features: a housing (11) to be placed on the hook clamp, a centering mandrel (12) mounted linearly in the housing (11) and protruding from this for centering a workpiece to be clamped and a spiral spring (13) supported within the housing (11) and aligned coaxially with the centering mandrel (12) for pretensioning the same against the workpiece. The invention also provides methods for its manufacture and use.
