PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant epoxy resin composition that does not use halogen and therefore has excellent environmental suitability and also excellent workability; and prevents the bleeding phenomenon of a flame retardant at the time of curing and does not cause the deterioration of the physical properties of the cured product.SOLUTION: A flame-retardant epoxy resin composition contains (A) an epoxy resin, (B) a curing agent, (C) a phosphorus-containing compound represented by formula (1), and (D) at least one flame retardant selected from the group consisting of a phosphorus-containing compound other than (C) component, a nitrogen-containing compound, and a boron-containing compound.SELECTED DRAWING: None
