PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame retardant-containing epoxy resin composition that is remarkably reduced in hygroscopicity and water absorbency and excellent in high-temperature resistance and high-temperature reliability and has a lowered linear expansion coefficient.;SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for a flame retardant crystal of a high melting point can obtain a flame retardant crystal of a high melting point that is represented by formula (1) and has a melt initiation temperature of 280°C or higher and a melting point of 291°C or higher as measured by differential thermogravimetry. The flame retardant-containing epoxy resin composition is produced by dispersing a flame retardant powder of the flame retardant crystal of a high melting point in an uncured epoxy resin composition.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
