To provide an electric dust collector which can be downsized.SOLUTION: A device 1 as the electric dust collector 1 for electrifying particles in air according to corona discharge and collecting the particles includes: an outer cylindrical body 10 formed as a cylindrical earth electrode; an inner cylindrical body 11 which is formed as a cylindrical earth electrode and is provided so as to put a gap between the outer cylindrical body 10 and the inner cylindrical body; a plurality of discharging electrodes 27 supported by a supporting cylindrical body 26 which is provided in such a state as to be electrically insulated with the outer cylindrical body 10 and the like between the outer cylindrical body 10 and the inner cylindrical body 11; a dust collecting electrode plate 40 which is provided on an inner part of the inner cylindrical body 11 and is grounded; a high-voltage electrode plate 42 provided so as to put a gap between the dust collecting electrode plate 40 and the high-voltage electrode plate on an inner part of the inner cylindrical body 11; and an air channel 15 which is formed so as to circulate air caused to flow into the gap between the outer cylindrical body 10 and the inner cylindrical body 11 toward one end from the other end, thereafter, invert the circulation direction of the air and circulate the air from one end toward the other end through the inner part of the inner cylindrical body 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
