Method and device for determining the geographical positions of a tracer of geographical location The method is implemented by a device (SRV) for a sequence (SQ) of measurements (Mj) of the geographical location of the tracer (TRAC), the sequence being ordered as a function of an instant of measurement of said measurements, the method comprising the steps of: - obtaining (E010) the sequence (SQ); - for a measure (Mj) of the sequence (SQ), called an indexed measure, - partition of all the measures into two ordered sets (E1, E2), the indexed measure being either the last measure of the first set (E1) or the first measure of the second set (E2); - calculation of statistical data (Med1) for the first set (E1); - calculation of statistical data (Med2) for the second set (E2); - calculation of a distance (Dj), associated with the indexed measure (Mj), between the sets (E1, E2) according to a distance between the statistical data (Med1, Med2) of the sets; - determination of a maximum distance (Dmax) among the distances calculated for all the indexed measurements of said sequence (SQ); the statistical data (Med1) of the first set (E1) defined for the indexed measurement associated with the maximum distance (Dmax) corresponding to a first position of the tracer and the statistical data (Med2) of the second set (E2) defined for the indexed measurement associated with the maximum distance corresponding to a second position of the tracer.
