A statistical analysis-based linear motor stator foreign matter adhesion fault diagnosis method. The method comprises the following steps: installing a distance measuring sensor below a linear motor stator, and measuring a motor stator air gap value and a slot wedge value by means of the distance measuring sensor; and carrying out statistical analysis on measured data of the distance measurement sensor, and determining whether the linear motor has a stator foreign matter adhesion fault by determining whether a slot wedge value is lower than an air gap mean value. According to the method, by taking determining whether a slot wedge value is lower than a normal air gap mean value as a determining basis for determining whether a foreign matter adhesion fault occurs, the accuracy of a fault diagnosis result is improved.
