The present invention relates to a novel Boveria bassiana JEF-507 and a composition for controlling red palm weevil and/or tobacco powder containing the same as an active ingredient, and the JEF-507 strain of the present invention is a strain for red palm weevil. It is expected to be usefully used in farms as an eco-friendly microbial preparation for protecting trees from pests as it exhibits a strong insecticidal effect and at the same time a control effect on tobacco powdery mildew.
